Theme: Be Bold for Change
Wednesday, March 8, 2017 was devoted to celebrating International Women’s Day at IAS.
The Women’s Research and Documentation Centre (WORDOC), in collaboration with the Gender Studies Unit of IAS, put up a colloquium on the theme ‘Be Bold for Change’.
As usual, it was a gathering of town and gown at Lady Bank-Anthony Hall. Under the coordination of Dr Sharon Omotoso of our Gender Studies Unit, the lead discussants at the colloquium were Prof Janice Olawoye of the Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, University of Ibadan, Prof Kassey Garuba, Head of the Department of Economics, University of Ibadan, Mrs Rose Oyedele, Special Adviser on Due Process to the Governor of Oyo State, and Dr Hanna Schlingmann, of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), University of Ibadan.
