On 27 September, 2017, the IAS family welcomed a new member into its fold, as Mrs V.M. Otolorin took over from Mrs Helen Ezekwem to run the specialized library of the Women’s Research and Documentation Centre (WORDOC), a key organ of our Institute.

A Higher Library Officer, Mrs Otolorin will be working closely with our Gender Studies unit in making materials and volumes available to researchers and scholars with interests in gender issues, especially in the context of African cultures and societies.

Mrs Otolorin has come at a very auspicious time as preparations have moved into top gear for WORDOC’s thirtieth anniversary celebration, which holds 18-20 October, 2017. Guests and visitors at the celebration, which includes an international conference among other slated events, will have much to do with Mrs Otolorin as they avail themselves of resources in the WORDOC Library.

We wish Mrs Otolorin a fulfilling stint as WORDOC Librarian.
