The Women’s Research and Documentation Centre (WORDOC) is holding a Webinar to mark this year’s International Women’s Day.

The programme comes up on Monday, March 8, at 11:00 a.m. Moderated by WORDOC’s Coordinator, Dr Sharon Omotoso, of our programme in Gender Studies, the theme of the Webinar is 21st-Century Parenting and the Future of Women’s Leadership in Nigeria.

Panellists include Ibukun Otesile, a counselling psychologist and child protection specialist, Omotayo Agunbiade, a gender analyst, legislative researcher and author of the book Emerging from the Margins: Women’s Experiences in Colonial and Contemporary Nigerian History, Toun Oyelude of the Kenneth Dike Library, University of Ibadan, and Dauda Busari of the Department of Sociology, University of Ibadan.

It promises to be an engaging session, brought to you by WORDOC as a practical demonstration of the awareness that the COVID-19 pandemic cannot truncate the need for discourse and action on gender matters, nor punctuate our progress towards a more equal society.

Join the WORDOC panel on Zoom on Monday, 8 March, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. prompt.
